All Ireland Schools XC
The All Ireland Schools XC took place in Belfast on Saturday. The Minor Girls of Ailbhe C, Ailbhe O’N, Aoife, Sophie and Ellen started the day with a great race and finished 4th and were very unlucky not to win a medal. The Minor Boys were up next and Stephen took first place in a very exciting race where he was dominant throughout. The Minor Boys team of Stephen, Matthew, Oisin, Max and Sean won the Team Bronze. Nicole won a medal for 6th place in the Junior Girls race. The team consisted of Nicole, Aoife, Emily, Lauren, Mia, Sadhbh and Holly who had great perfomances to win the team bronze. There were strong individual performances from Jack, Clara, Cathal and Patrick in the other categories. Well done to everyone who ran on the day. Congrats to Stephen on becoming All Ireland Minor Boys Champion.
