Junior A Clare Colleges Camogie Winners

The crowning moment this year for the Junior A panel was of course, was the fantastic victory in the Clare Junior A Final again coming up against Coláiste Muire. The joy and excitement shown afterward captured the spirit of the entire panel having put right some wrongs earlier in the year. Every single member of the squad played their part in bringing that title back to Flannan’s for a second year in a row which hasn’t been experienced in over 13 years.

The final delivered the kind of drama that defines a season. We started off shaky in the first half, struggling to find rhythm against a well-drilled Coláiste side and trailing by five at the break. But halftime brought steel and clarity. From the throw-in of the second half, every player lifted their performances, hooks and blocks stuck, runners overlapped with conviction and our puck-outs began to find hands. The back line tightened, turning pressure into possession, the midfield grafted tirelessly and the forwards, patient and sharp, took their chances when they came. Score by score, the gap narrowed, belief spread down the line and the sideline crackled with energy.

In the closing minutes, composure told—smart shot selection and relentless work rate tipped a knife-edge contest our way. We won out by two points, 1-13 to 2-8, a comeback built on trust, courage, and collective effort.
