TY Coaching Workshops

  Over the past couple of weeks, over 50 TYs have been trained as coaches in two different programmes. Amy from Rowing Ireland trained a group in the Get Going Get Rowing programme, and these TYs have already started delivering these sessions to some 1st and 2nd Year PE classes. They will also be offering lunchtime taster sessions for any students who would like to give rowing a try! Results will be handed out in school during the last class on Wednesday, and students can also view them on https://www.examinations.ie/ from 4pm on Wednesday. HerSport Workshops

  We were delighted to welcome Ailish Considine to the school last week to deliver workshops on behalf of HerSport to some of our 2nd Year classes and to our TY Active Schools class. The workshops tackled the barriers girls face in sport, building confidence, knowledge, and a sense of belonging. Active SFC

 Active SFC After launching last school year, Active SFC has taken another step forward this year. Active Schools is now a timetabled class in Transition Year and a group of 28 students who signed up to take the class will be leading the actions for this schoolyear. Translation Competition

In April 2025, 16 students from all year groups entered a translation competition organised by the Association of Translators and Interpreters Ireland. They translated texts from various languages into English. We are delighted to announce that Darwisy Mohd Hafiz, a 6th Year student, is the overall Irish winner for his translation from Japanese. Congratulations to Darwisy and Ms. Hayes, his Japanese teacher and well done to all the students who entered the competition!
