We were delighted to welcome Ailish Considine to the school last week to deliver workshops on behalf of HerSport to some of our 2nd Year classes and to our TY Active Schools class. The workshops tackled the barriers girls face in sport, building confidence, knowledge, and a sense of belonging. Active SFC
After launching last school year, Active SFC has taken another step forward this year. Active Schools is now a timetabled class in Transition Year and a group of 28 students who signed up to take the class will be leading the actions for this schoolyear. In April 2025, 16 students from all year groups entered a translation competition organised by the Association of Translators and Interpreters Ireland. They translated texts from various languages into English. We are delighted to announce that Darwisy Mohd Hafiz, a 6th Year student, is the overall Irish winner for his translation from Japanese. Congratulations to Darwisy and Ms. Hayes, his Japanese teacher and well done to all the students who entered the competition!

The annual sixth year Retreat took place last week in the College. It was facilitated by Declan Browne. This event afforded students the opportunity to experience and enjoy a day of self – reflection – explore their spirituality and acquire skills to strengthen their resilience.
