Another great day of sunshine and another great result for our first year boys who qualified for the “A” All Ireland final today after defeating St Jarlaths of Tuam on a fully deserved scoreline of 3-2.
After soaking up intense pressure for the first 10 minutes, Flannans were to first to score on the 15 minute mark through the industrious Ben Lyne. Flannan’s were struck a blow soon after, with a harsh red card but this seemed to galvanise our players. At the start of the second half, we found ourselves one down but thanks to two goals of immense quality … Read More >
History was made at St. Colmans Park, Cobh this past Friday, as a resolute Flannans team defeated Rochestown, Cork 4-2 on penalties to claim our very first win in this prestigious competition.
In what was a highly entertaining morning of soccer, our lads showed great character to emerge victorious after falling behind to a fortuitous goal for the Cork side towards the end of the first half. While genuine chances were scarce, it took a well taken penalty from Ben Lyne to restore parity after he had been fouled himself in the second half.
With the game finishing 1 each and after … Read More >

After a couple of morning classes, the team and their supporters hopped on the bus to Dublin for their late afternoon game.
