Chess team
Our chess club runs every Wednesday at lunchtime under the guidance of Ms. O’Gorman and Mr. D Kelly. Last week our students took part in a chess tournament in Kilfinane in Limerick with 5 schools from Clare, Limerick and Tipp competing. There were 23 teams with 93 individuals involved. We took 12 first year students (3 teams of 4) with us, with one team finishing third overall, and Elvis finishing third in the individual standings. Both are through to the Irish Chess finals. Congratulations to Luke, Fionán, Max & Niall who finished in 3rd place. Well done to
