First year boys into All Ireland soccer final!
Another great day of sunshine and another great result for our first year boys who qualified for the “A” All Ireland final today after defeating St Jarlaths of Tuam on a fully deserved scoreline of 3-2.
After soaking up intense pressure for the first 10 minutes, Flannans were to first to score on the 15 minute mark through the industrious Ben Lyne. Flannan’s were struck a blow soon after, with a harsh red card but this seemed to galvanise our players. At the start of the second half, we found ourselves one down but thanks to two goals of immense quality from Ben Lyne, we hung on for a most memorable of wins.
