Languages: your bridge to the future
On October 16th, along 400 European schools and 700 students, thirty-three St. Flannan’s College students took part in an EU-wide online workshop on the topic of “Language Learning for College and your Future Career”, organised by the European Commission.
The workshop started with an exploration of the importance of languages for college and future career, and an overview of the supports offered by the EU.
This was followed by a presentation on the effect of AI on language learning and the new career paths emerging in this field.
The event concluded with an interactive discussion in English featuring several EU translators and interpreters who shared their insights on studying and working with languages and discussed language-related studies and career opportunities within the EU institutions and across EU countries.
