Remembering TJ

Our school community is deeply saddened by the recent passing of our 5th year student, TJ. We extend our deepest sympathies to TJ’s  family – his parents Suzanne and Tomás, his sisters Caoimhe and Laoise, his extended family, and his wide circle of friends.

TJ was fondly described by his teachers as a loveable rogue, a gentleman – a student who quietly got on with whatever task was put in front of him. His love of farming was clear in his choice of Agricultural Science for the Leaving Certificate.

TJ was a promising young hurler who proudly represented the school from first year.  He was a member of this year’s Dean Ryan panel and a valued part of the Flannan’s hurling community. One of his proudest moments came in first year when he played on the winning Flannan’s White team in Cusack Park, competing against the other half of his year group.

He will be remembered with great affection and will live on in the hearts of his classmates, teachers, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
