TY Students Represent St. Flannan’s at National Japanese Quiz

Eight TY students from St. Flannan’s College took part in the Japan Quiz at the University of Limerick last week.

This year, approximately 26 teams competed, with all participants drawn from Transition Year. Schools travelled from across the country, including Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Wexford, and Roscommon.

A fantastic achievement for St. Flannan’s College saw one of our teams secure second place. Well done to Ruadhan Casey, Dean Glasgow, and Daithí O’Leary.

Following the Japan Quiz (table quiz), students also had the opportunity to experience Japanese culture by tasting a variety of Japanese foods, making it an enjoyable and memorable day for all involved.

Many thanks to their teacher, Ms. Hayes, for her support and guidance in preparing the students for the competition.
