World Champion
Congratulations to our TY student Ethan who is just after returning home from an unforgettable week of competition at the Taekwondo world championships.
This year’s ITF Taekwondo world championships were held in Croatia and 60 countries had sent representatives to compete.
Ethan became a world champion in junior -60kg class.
He spent his week sparring in a category of 46 competitors.
On his way to glory he beat opponents from Canada, Slovenia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine Spain and Italy.
We wish Ethan all the best in his future endeavours and tournaments – notably the Irish National Championships in a few weeks time.
This result is a testament to the hard work, dedication and determination Ethan puts into his training while balancing his studies.
