Rainbows Ireland
We are offering a 9 week Rainbows Ireland peer support group for young people experiencing loss due to parental separation/ family breakdown. It will be a small group of 4-8 students (demand dependant), once per week, during school time, starting in November.
Our groups create a safe, compassionate space where students of similar age can:
-
Talk about difficult feelings
-
Be heard, accepted, and understood
-
Connect with others their own age who have had similar experiences
“I’m not the only one.”
“We’re not the only family.”
We listen to the voices of the students — what they say matters; what they say is accepted; and what they say is acknowledged and validated.
For more information Rainbows Ireland will run an online workshop on Monday 5th Oct. Please log onto their website to register, or for more information.
We will be contacting those of you who expressed an interest in “Rainbows” when applying to St. Flannan’s College in the coming weeks, or you can contact the Rainbows Co-ordinator on Ext. 124 if you have any questions or wish to get an application form.
